Antique Nineteenth Century Tintype Photo Two Ladies

An absolutely beautiful photo from the late 1800s. Two ladies are decked out in their day wear. I can't help but wonder what these women were doing. They remind me of school teachers but they may also just be friends or sisters getting their portrait taken together. 

This photo is on metal and the edges can be rough to the touch.
