Rare Victorian 1889 Sterling and Gold Filled Locket Necklace

What a piece of art! This mixed metal locket dates to 1889! It is engraved on the original owners name and date.

It is a mix of rose gold filled and sterling silver metals. The chain is also gold filled but not original to the piece.

There is a chance that the stone in the middle is a diamond but I have not had it tested to be sure.

A beautiful locket with deep space for trinkets or pictures.
